Cozy Pattern


**We work up these cozies with a size 6.0 mm crochet hook and a single ply 80 % Superwash Merino/20% Nylon yarn.**



Chain (CH)

Single Crochet (SC)

Double Crochet (DC)

Back Loop Single Crochet (BSC)

Front Loop Single Crochet (FSC)

Puff Heart : 1. (yarn over hook, insert hook into SC, yarn over and draw up a loop) 4 times. Yarn over hook and draw through all 8 loops on the hook. 2. Chain 1 close to the puff. 3. (yarn over hook, insert hook into same SC, yarn over and draw up a loop) 4 times. 4. Chain 1 close to the puff.

This pattern can be worked up in multiples of 3+1 to adjust the final circumference! Our example produces an 11" cozy.

ROW 1: CH 31

ROW 2: turn, skip 1 and SC 30 across, CH 1

ROW 3: turn, BSC 30 across, CH 2

ROW 4: turn, skip 1, Puff Heart, *skip 2, Puff Heart*, DC in last stitch, CH 1

ROW 5: turn, SC in the previous DC, skip the puff, SC in the next CH, SC in CH space,*skip puff, SC in CH, skip puff, SC in CH, SC in CH space* skip puff, SC in final CH, CH 1

ROW 6: turn, FSC 30 across, CH 1

ROW 7: turn, SC 30 across

ROW 8: (button loops) CH 4, slip stitch 2 on the side of ending puff stitch, CH 4

ROW 9: SC 30  back across in the Row 1 chain stitches

To finish: Sew 2 antique shank buttons to the short side opposite of the button loops!
